Replacing a replacement Window

Morning all,

I am needing to replace several replacement windows that have gone bad. My problems are as follows..

1) I have Steel Siding on the house
2) Never done it before..
3) All of the replacement windows I have seen have a white "skirt" around the outside which leads me to believe that the window would need to be installed form the outside???

Anyone have insight??

Replacement windows

You may be confusing new construction windows with replacement windows. New construction windows have a nailing flange and are installed before the siding is installed.

Ok, now that I understand the difference between New Construction windows and replacement windows, I can look for the correct type, Thanks.
