Removing a pocket door
I just read the thread about putting in a P/D but how would you take one out to replace with a regular door (bedroom closet)?

If you just want to remove the door panel, you will need to remove the top trim over the opening and reach over the trolley to press a button and release the hardware (this is a generic description). Some have slides, some have buttons.
Now, if you are wanting to install a regular door, you will have to take into consideration the pocket door frame is taller than a regular door frame, so it will need to be reframed, and the hollow part of the wall will have to be solidified as the pocket door "studs" don't offer a really good support for a slamming door. Also take note as to which way you want the door to swing, and make sure the hinge side is properly supported.
