Bi Fold closet doors
Have just removed sliding closet doors and want to replace with bi fold doors. Closet opening is 59". Will 2 30" door fit?

Dont think so....

You'd need 62" for clearance on each side...unless you trim down the rails...but watch out for where the pivot holes are.
Often they're in the rails..so triming them down will compromise the integrity of the door...

2-24" doors would need a 48" opening...thats 15" you'd have to frame in....- a lot.
Not quite sure how it would look...but what about 1-24" and 1-30" door.. Then you wouldnt have to re-frame it as much....?!?!?
Just a thought...
Good luck...!

The door size determines the finished opening: a 48" door requires a 48" finished opening. A 60" door requires a 60" finished opening.
Remove the trim on the inside and see if there is enough room to widen the finsihed opening. If so, you would need to replace the top jamb with a new one 1" longer.
