Red face Pocket Door gaps

One of my pocket doors has a one inch gap at the bottom. Is there any way to fill in this gap without replacing the door? Thanks....

Welcome to the forums!! You will find we ask more questions than you do, but it is to glean information so we can make good suggestions.
Is the door square in the opening? That is, does it close properly at the strike side? Would you be able to post a picture using one of the websites such as photobucket, or others? It would help.

replying to Chandler

Hi Chandler... yes, the door is square and shuts fine and even on the jamb. Sorry, I don't have a way to send a photo.

If the gap is fairly equal along the entire bottom, you can adjust it with a pocket door wrench. Usually a trim piece on top will have to be removed to access the nut you will have to turn. Once you have begun to loosen the nuts on both the trolleys equally, make sure the closing gap at the striker plate still remains tight. When it is as close as you like it, replace the trim piece.
Post back if you run into problems or if my description was wierd.
