storm window frame out of alignment! what to do?

This storm window no longer fits in the track of the storm frame. Actually it fits as one slides it up in the track of the frame, but as you slide it down the distance between the tracks from left to right increases, and the storm window falls out.

I am wondering for a simple fix, to move out the slider maybe 1/8" on both sides....? Is this realistic? I do not want to put in another storm window assembly unless I have to.

The main frame is probably bowed out. Remove the installation screws on the main frame where the sash falls out and tow it in a bit and replace the screws.

It sounds to me like the storm window frame might be spread. Removing the screws on the sides of the storm window, squeezing the frame together on the sashes, and reinstalling the screws might help.
