door knob installation problems
I have replaced some of the doorknobs in my home and half of them shut correctly and half do not not. What to do when they won't grab or stay shut? Very frustrated please help.. Thanks in advance!!

Look at where the lock goes into the strike plate. Do these line up? If not, you may need to adjust some things. If it's to high or to low on the strike plate, remove one of the door hinge screws and install a 3"-4" screw. Example: If the door latch is high on the strike plate, install a 3-4" screw in the bottom hinges to attempt to pull the door down a hair. If none of this works, then you need to measure your holes to make sure they were drilled correctly.
