Triple-Pane Window

Existing PVC Triple Pane(CWD windows & doors) window. The outer pane is broken. Kids hit it with a hockey ball. Can I fix this by just using a new pane of glass ordered from glass shop and installing It. I realize that this will comprimise the insulation value. Getting it sealed will be a challenge. Is anything else to worry about?

Triple pane insulating glass units (IGU's) are 3 panes of glass sealed into one unit. If one piece of glass is broken, the entire unit will eventually fog up, and there is no way to replace 1 of 3 panes. the entire IGU must be replaced. Any glass company can do that for you.

Check your warranty, it might be covered.

Check your home owners insurance policy, may provide a way to help with cost.
