Generic Metal Framed Interior Door ??

The title says it all. Standard size apartment bedroom and bathroom door with two screws at top of frame. I want to fine-tune the squareness of the door in the frame so that the gap is even all around. I did tighten both the hinge-to-frame and hinge-to-door screws on the doors.

My question is: What affect does turning the screws clockwise have on the frame, and counter-cw?

thanks,

Not sure of the brand of the door. Is this in the US? Commercial entrance doors are often adjusted via screws inside the frame, but residential??? Got any pix?

If you saw my building from outside or walked it's hallway, you would swear it was an office. Drop ceilings, metal-framed doorways, etc. The terrace/balconies are a residential giveaway, but they are flush to the bldg as opposed to cantilevered. When friends come to visit they find our address but then go back out to the roadside to look for an apartment building.

So the heads of these screws are about 1/2" in diameter, and flush to the jamb. There are none at the bottom. The bedroom and bath are wooden/presumably foam core, with metal jambs. The main unit door is heavy fire-rated wooden hotel-grade affair with peephole and deadbolt.

BTW the building is in CT.
