French Door Repair

Does anyone know where I might be able to purchase repair parts for a french door, the bottom latching pin that fastens in threshold plate on my door is broken, it's the steel pin incased in plastic that slides up & down to secure the door. Thanks !!

Is it internal to the door, or an add on screwed to the door face??? if an add on, any well stocked hardware or home store should have something that will work. If part of the door, contact the manufacturer if you can find a name. Otherwise, plan A above.

Welcome to the forums! Do you know the brand name of the door? Can you access the rod mechanism from the outside?

I'm sorry I don't know who manufactured this door, but the device is asessible, it's located in an open channel in the edge of the door..Thanks!

I purchased a condo 3 years ago that had windows recently (within a year of my purchas) installed. Within the last year the caulking around the windows have cracked. I recaulked them both outside and inside. Within a few months the caulking cracked again. And I again recaulked. This is now the third time this year i have replaced the caulk. Seems like a bigger problem, any suggestions?

Question about changing a lockset

I have a door that I would like to put a new lockset on. The problem is the hole (the big one for the knob) is too small for the replacement lockset (SCHLAGE). Does anyone know of a way (trick) to center the hole saw over the hole. Is there something on the market that I can buy to center the hole saw or will I need to make something? Thank You.
