Question Window replacement cost??

Hi everyone! My husband and I are in the market for some window replacements. I'm kind of curious how much we should expect to pay for the windows. I know we want vinyl, double pane, single hung windows. We have 9 windows and for the most part they're close in size (approx 36"x52"). We live in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and were wondering what we should expect to pay per window. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance

A ballpark figure would be $400-600 per window, installed. More or less, depending on the quality of the window, glass packages, and type of installation... slam-bam or full service.

Also, if you go with Energy Star rated windows, you may get a small tax write off.

Just FYI

XSleeper's estimate is way cheap for my area, unless he's talking really low-quality windows. I just priced Marvin replacements for my house (most of my windows are 2-0 x 3-10 double hung). Just the windows, cash and carry, are nearly $500 apiece.

that sounds high even for Marvin. 'round here you can pick up Andersen windows for a much better price than that, and based upon my company's local competition's pricing, Marvin never ran too much higher. sounds like you might be getting hosed.
