Window manufacturer recommendation - Pella??
Need to replace a couple windows and a patio door in my home. I plan on doing the replacement/installation myself. I've always used Pella in my past homes as they are always very highly rated and have a good feature set.
However... Pella is also expensive and I'm wondering if there are other manufacturer's that are just as good but not overpriced as Pella may be... or do you get what you pay for and Pella is the best..

Marvin and Peachtree are also good brands that make nice aluminum clad wood windows. I believe they also both offer blinds between the glass, if that's a feature you're looking for.
I personally am not a fan of Andersen windows, but some people and installers swear by them and their service.

The installation of a window can be much more important than the selection of the window brand.
Always follow the insrtuctions to a "Tee". Otherwise you may have a little guarantee, unless they are installed by a certified window installer.

Not a big fan of Pella. I had several customers that had Pella windows less that 15 yrs old with rotted frames. Pella would do nothing. On the other hand, I have had customers with Andersen windows over 20 yrs old the received parts for free. Which would you want.
