Corroding door hardware
Hi,
I live coastally in Central Florida, where corosion is a way of life. The hardware on my exterior double french door is rapidly corroding. I'm planning to replace it all. What type of metal hardware would you suggest to be the most corrosion resistant? Stainless? ....
or should I just use any door hardware and spray it with a laquer spray finish prior to installing it?
Thanks much for your input.
Regards, Majac777

Stainless or solid brass, including internal parts. Anything that is plated potmetal(most inexpensive types), wil corrode quickly. This only leaves the expensive types like Baldwin, etc.
