Door styles, Modern, commercial, or otherwise not stamped or ubiquitous
We have a mid fifties home that has some modern leanings, and I'm planning on replacing the ill fitting and tired entry doors. Problem is I detest 99% of any design I find at a reasonable price. We just want something simple. No Spanish castle gate wrought iron, No arched beveled glass kaleidoscope, No six panel stamped. Just simple.
I'd like a basic steel door with perhaps a one light offset wire safety glass insert.
Are there any sources for these more commercial style doors that I could use for an entry, and/or an attached garage (fire rated) entry door. I have had very little luck with searches, and local vendors.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, Neoporte modern stainless steel doors are out of our league, and I don't like them anyway because they are too flashy.

I don't know of any residential door maker that offers wire glass, that is usually a commercial item. And plain commercial doors look "plain", not at all suited for an older house. I would personally go for a raised panel door with a small light in the upper end of the door. To get away from the stamped look, you have to go with a real wood door, but now you are getting expensive.
