Smile Glazing

I'm not sure I'm posting in the correct catagory but here is my question. I am refinishing the wood on 80 year old windows and I wonder if I should reglaze the glass before or after I stain the wood. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Loralie: There may be several points of view, but mine is to stain the main framework, minus the area where you will be glazing. I think the stain, should it be oil based, may not give the glazing a proper adhesion medium. Once the glazing is set, then stain the remainder of the window including the glazing area.
