vinyl window glass replaced

Hello all,

I have vinyl windows in bathroom that about 2 years old. We are completely redoing the bath now and would like to have frosted glass, not clear like we currently have. Is it possible to switch out the window panes, without replacing the entire window?

Of course you could apply a frosted tinting on the windows and save the cost of the window pane replacement.

Thanks for the replies. I will check the cost of the replacement of glass. If its too too high, we will just frost the lass with a spray. I assume the contact paper frosting wouldn't be a good idea since it is a bathroom. Is this correct?

Actually the self adhesive window frosting is meant primarily for bathrooms, so it should be good for your application.

Prehung doors - Rough opening size

Since we purchased our home last September, I replaced the old carpet with new laminate flooring. Due to the previous owner being in a wheel chair, a number of door jambs were scuffed up (a lot). Because of this, we are replacing them. After installing the laminate (by removing the bottom part of the old jamb), and removing the old door and jamb completely, I notice my rough opening is now approximately 81 1/2" high. The doors I purchased, unfortunately, are approximately 81 5/8" high. What is the best way to approach this situation? Should I attempt to saw the bottoms of the jamb off (there is 1/2 inch gap between the bottom of the door and the jamb, likely for "carpet" installation) or would another tool be more suitable? Any recommendations where I can order some 6-panel (or...flat or anything that is not a little folding door) white 20" door (22" rough)? As it is an odd size, the local Lowes and Home depot offer nothing in that size (under 24") and I am weary of looking online without recommendations. Thanks in advance.
