Question Replacment of WoodCo awning

I am about to upgrade windows with vinyl replacements. Two of the windows in a later addition are crank out awning windows made by WoodCo. I seems the jambs are milled to shape making adding a vinyl replacement difficult. Does anyone have experience putting vinyl replacements into a WoodCo awning?

Not familiar with WoodCo, but I know what you mean. A lot of casements need a lot of reciprocating in order to get a replacement to fit. Then they need new interior and exterior trim to cover up the damage done by the reciprocating saw (since it's not exactly a finish tool!)

In many cases, it's better to do a complete tearout and order the new windows with nailing fins, and plan to retrim the interior and exterior from the start. Many people are quite unhappy when they put a replacement window inside a narrow casement and lose a lot of glass area. That is most noticable with narrow windows, not so much with wider ones percentage-wise.
