Storm window factories/manufactures

I live northeast of Detroit Michigan, around the Pontiac/Mt.Clemens area. Does anyone know of a place that makes storm window where I can pick out and choose certain types, have them made there at the factory then pick them up at the factory and then install them myself.
Thanks, Frank C.

Your best bet will be to contact a local building supply and find out

A- where they get their storm windows

B- Does their supplier sell directly to the homeowner.

Good luck

Your home improvement store can help you. Detroit has lots of them. I doubt you will be able to go to the factory yourself. They have contracts with distributors, which in turn have contracts with retailers.

Aluminum storm window manufacturers are a dying breed and those that are left have limited choice of styles. Try the suggestions above.

factories/manufacturers

I guess that is the way I have to go, these days. About 30 years ago I went to a small factory and picked up my storm windows, specifically the way I wanted as far as material, size, color and type of glass. I went by the old house the other day and those storm windows look like new.
During those days there were no Home Depots or Lowe's, and those type of supply and order, attach a little profit and pass on to the customer deals were not predominant.
Thanks anyway, Frank C.
