Andersen Window screen repair

Can anyone give me a source for the metal splines that hold in the scrreening on an Andersen Window Insect Screen or tell be a suitable substitute. I couldn't find anything on the Andersen web site. Thanks, LeeW

Replace the metal splines with vinyl or foam .260 diameter spline which is rolled in. This should be available at places that repair screens

does this type of hinge or door exist?

I have an opening that contains a water heater. I want to put a louvre type of door in front of it, but cannot use the interior frame of the opening because the water heater uses that space. Is there a type of louvre door (opening needs ventilation) or hinge that is afixed to the OUTSIDE of the frame so that I don't have to reframe the opening? Thanks for any info. regards, pete

Dog Door In Window?

Does anyone have any ideas on how to frame a regular dog door into a window? The ones built for windows are very expensive and I already own this one. I think I'm going to experiment this weekend and try to get it to work. Any advice would be great.
