Pre-hung interior door jamb width problem

I am about to purchase and install three pre-hung 28" interior doors in a remod in manufactured housing. Door frame opening is ok length and width but because of 3/8 drywall, the old door jambs are 4 3/8" and the new door jambs are 4 9/16". Am I going to have to go to a special order or do I have some options with the molding/trim other than my 1/2" caulk. Thanks

It depends how fussy you are, but you could flush the door jamb up with one side of the wall, then glue and tack a 3/16" furring strip onto the back side of your casing (on the outer edge only) on the side of the door that is protruding. Usually this is not too noticable.

Thanks for the reply. After looking at the "junk" they were selling at the big box, I decided to keep what I have and do some refinishing. I spent an hour tonight with the guy in millworks and we would find one decent door out of 10. Not that the doors were manufactured that bad but the handling between the plant and the racks in the store left something to be desired. They were beat up bad. What a waste of money, you would think the company would address damages in handling. There was whole isle in appliances where damaged goods had been reduced due to mishandling. You would think that somebody in management would realize the cost to the stockholders and address the problem. I guess I am too "fussy". End of my rant and rave...sorry.
