antique door knob conversion?

I have salvaged old porcelain door knobs that have the square plate behind them. Is there any way to convert them so I can use them on new doors with the predrilled holes. I want old knobs on new doors?

Check restoration websites, I was looking for some of the references I use and can't find them. Also, check big box, hardware stores, some have kits that allow the use of old hardware on newer style locksets.

Don't use pre-drilled door slabs! Get blanks and drill and mortise them like you need to be.

You won't find blanks at a big box store -- go to a lumberyard that has a door shop, or to a shop that sells doors and not much more.
