Window repair

Hi all,

We have an old window that broke recently and we're looking for a replacement pane. The problem is, no one seems to know how to cut glass in our area nor do they know where it can be done. Home Depot doesn't cut glass anymore and neither do the ACE Hardwares.

Can anyone give me suggestions about who I should call and about how much the glass should cost? The replacement pane needs to be about 30"X40" and single pane is fine. The pane was only about .3" in thickness anyhow...really thin

Thanks for any suggestions!

Don'y know about your area, but most auto repair shops that do glass work handle plate glass as well as automotive - try them.

Look in the yellow pages for a glass store - doesn't have to be an auto glass shop.

If for some reason you have no glass shops you could get a piece of plexiglass or lexon and cut it yourself.
