Stained doors

I bought interior solid wood doors made from pine. I had a "professional" stain them. When they did so, they used wooden sticks to separate the stained doors (couldn't be stained while hung in the house due to my allergies - so stained in the garage). Apparently the stain drew from the door and into the wooden stick leaving an unstained mark on the door.

Is there a way to correct this? Or will I have to live with doors that have a rectagular mark?

Thanks. Liz

Welcome to the forums Liz!

There are several ways to fix it or at least minimize it where it doesn't show as bad.

Have you paid the painter yet? It should be his responsibility to fix it. Even if you have paid him, call him - if he values his reputation, he should be willing to make it right.
