Securing French Bi-fold Doors to Wall

I just purchased pre-hung french bi-fold doors for my walkway between the foyer and den. The rough opening needed is 50" and yet after I take down the sheetrock my rough opening will be 48". I can either shave down the doors or realign (push back) the studs in the wall to create the space needed. The only concern with the later option is the header and the fact that I might have to replace it with a longer one that will extend from one jack stud to the other. What should I do and why? Thank you.

Rough Opening

Re-frame the opening to the correct dimensions. Before you begin removing studs, determine whether or not this is a load bearing wall.
