Bi-fold installation over uneven floor and before new carpet?
I'm putting bifold door on my closet. It's a 72 incher (two 36s). I have a slight conundrum. I need to install the jamb set I bought and the floor is not level plus I need to account for yet-to-be-installed carpet.
I know simply enough that I should cut one jamb shorter than the other to overcome the unlevel floor, which is off about 3/4 inch.
How do I assume for the carpet? I was thinking of putting a 3/4 block under the jamb for the bottom bifold bracket as something better than screwing it into the carpet and having the come up to it with the carpet?
I really hate trying to figure this all out!

You'd cut one jamb longer than the other to make the head of the jamb level, even if the floor is not. The jamb would get installed first. Then the carpet would get installed. The bifold brackets will go on top of the carpet and secure into the jamb. If you need a shim under one side, you'd fit the shim under the bracket.
I like bifold hardware from Johnson hardware.
