replacement window help

i replacing my kitchen window .i know how to measure it buy will i need to mess with the outside trim at all or can this be done with only removing the inside trim . it is a standard double hung window about 45 yrs. old. im planning on reusing the old inside trim thanks for any advice

You won't have to disturb any of the outside molding, nor will you have to disturb much of the inside molding. Just remove the stop molding on the existing panes so you can get them out. Once the new replacement is installed, caulk it inside and out and reinstall the stop molding.
