retractable screen for patio doors?
We're considering retractable screens for our patio doors. We'd like the kind that roll to the side or up and down and don't have a frame or divider in the middle that will obstruct our view when the doors are open.
Some that we've seen are, well, rather cheap and tend to bind when opened or closed. Can anyone recommend one that's well built and dependable?

Doc,
I'm not a big fan of the retractable screens sold at the Box stores. (And I should know, worked at one for 5 yrs) They had 2 different versions, but they were actually the same product. I guess they were licensed suppliers from the original manufacturer?
Especially for a double door, as one of the screens has to be semi-fixed, for the other to latch into. It can be detached and retracted in the off seasons, but you do get the divider look. I've seen the units for doors from Andersen (ouch they're pricey!), they seem to be better engineered but only fit Andersen doors..
I would think you may be happier with one that rolls down from the top, as long as in and out access is not an issue.
Or maybe some quality swinging screen doors? Screen, not storm.

And if you have a cat or dog, you won't be happy when they escape. The screen is not held in at the bottom with more than feathered weather stripping and gravity, so they can push out the bottom (or push in if it is a stray).

They're hinged - swing into the inside. I think I used the term retractable the correct way - we're looking for the kind that roll up when you open them and run in tracks.
I've seen ones for garage doors and our local home improvement store had one that would have fit but it was pretty cheap.
