Retractable Screen Storm Door
I just had a Larson Tradewinds storm door with a retractable screen installed. My wife and I noticed that when the glass is down and the screen is visible, the edge of the screen appears to be "loose", and if you push in on the screen with some pressure you can even see the edge of the screen "pop out". Meaning you can actually see the far side of the screen itself where it ends. Usually when you then close the glass and the screen rolls up it goes back into place.
I called the installer and asked him and he said that was normal and is the nature of a retractable screen. I do think he was being honest with me as our overall experience with him was very positive. But can someone confirm that this is indeed not a defect with the door? Thank you.

Completely normal...nature of the beast. The screen just rides in a small track and can be pushed out with nominal pressure. Same for the big retactable screens for patio doors.
