Screen door rough opening size?

I'm in the process of framing in my patio to make a screen porch. I've purchased a 36" screen door (net 35.75 X 80.75). What size rough opening will I need for this door? Thanks.

The box or instructions should have the min and max openings that it can be adjusted to fit.

I'd make it right at 36" x 80 1/2". Same as the brickmold opening on a std ext door. You will have plenty of adjustment, bout 3/8" side to side and 1/2" at the bottom. Just make sure its square, plumb and level. And you may want to consider putting a small slightly raised aluminum threshhold in the opening. May help with sealing at the bottom.

Thanks for the info....

The 36" width worked fine, but I used 81.5" for the height because the door was 80.75 high, so the 80.5 was short. The door fits and looks great.
