vinyl window will not stay open I used WD 40 wrong!

Hello and good day all. I tried to get my vinyl windows (about 20 years old) to open easier. Rather than spraying WD 40 on a cloth and wiping the sides of the window, I sprayed it directly into the sides where the springs are. Now the window droops and does not stay all the way open. I do not know the manufacturer. I do not seen any visible adjustments. The windows do tilt in and come out. Any way of reversing the WD 40 issue? Thanks to all who help!

Try sprinkling some baby or other powder on them. It'll absorb the oils.

leaking windows

I have water coming in from the top of vinyl casement windows when there is heavy rain. After the rain I find water accumulated on the inside window ledges and drips at the top inside of the window frame. This is happening mostly on windows on the upper floor of the house. I believe that the windows are one unit with a painted metal strip at the outside top of the frame. The house and windows are 20 years old. I do not see any caulking at the top of the windows. What might the problem be and how is it best fixed?

squeaky sliding glass door

hi, i have this huge sliding glass door that leads from my bedroom to the balcony. it was working fine till recently, it started squeaking like crazy whenever i slide it open and close. it's a double pane glass door, and it's driving me nuts. so, how can i get it to stop squeeking? i look on the bottom of the window there's a hole in the front and the back side of the door. is there some kind of adjustment i can do to it to prevent the squeak? plz help!!
