Strange doorknob
Hello all,
I just bought a new set of french doors. Both sides open, and it has a very strange locking mechanism. Can anyone help me shed some light on what type of hardware I need?

Thanks!

It's called a Multi Point Lock (or Latch) Mechanism.
Do you know the brand of the door? You can find hardware for most brands from 3rd party sources, but it's often preferable to get the manufacturers hardware. They are not interchangeable between brands (well, most aren't, a few are)

Is there a "standard" place where the door manufacture would put their name on the door? We looked yesterday, briefly, and couldn't find that information. Thank you so much for your help!

Look in the corners of the glass. Many of the manufacturers have some information etched there. Was this a recycled door from somewhere? Looks like it may have been installed, just from the one pic showing the flange.
Is it aluminum or vinyl clad on the outside? Inswing or outswing door? Presume its an outswing, since you have clear wood showing. Where are you located? That might narrow the maker down a bit.
A local locksmith or building supply company might be able to help if you take some good shots of the lock area and the type of latches on the top bottom and sides. Doubt a Big Box store would be much help unless they happen to sell that brand.
BTW, I would have transported it flipped over the other way. The way it's sitting on the bed rails, it could have sprung the hinges or damaged the frame. Best would have been to use an allen or similar and locked the panels closed. Hope you didn't hit any big bumps while transporting it.
