Spiral Springs broke on double hung window

Bad situation: both spiral springs seemed to have popped out of the double hung window. I call it spiral because they spin when window goes up and down. Now the window just fall down when you unlock it. (top hung spirals broken)

Please help!!

Unsure if your spiral balances are broken, but they don't usually just pop out for no reason. This recent older post will probably have the information you need:

Hi! I'd like to replace the kick plate on my front door. It was glued on rather than screwed. Any suggestions on how best to remove the old one w/o ruining the door? Thanks!!

Can someone tell me what the PA building code requires for an egress window for a second floor bedroom? I need the maximum heighth of the sill from the floor, the width of the egress window, the heighth of the egress window and the total square footage.
