Access to the crawlspace is through a window located under my living room window. I never measured it but my guess is it's about 2ft high x 3 ft wide..maybe less.

Right now I have 5 RG6 cables and a hose for a sump pump as well as the electric cord just running over top the window to the inside and of course that means it's 'cracked' a bit year round. I'm not worried about light getting in per se (it's on the north side of the house and i have huge trees there so it doesnt get direct sun ever) and so i guess i could just make a frame out of wood and leave a 'notch' for the cables then silicone or otherwise 'seal' that notch?

But absent that idea, does anyone else have an idea? Or can you help perfect my idea? Thanks

PS Sorry i dont want to drill thru my wall. That just scares me. I have 'permastone' and that's subject to all sorts of cracking etc and I dont want to disturb it if i really dont have to.

 

That stuff should be going thru the wall or the rim joist, not an open window. There are lots of ways to drill thru any kind of material without cracks. Carbide core bits can drill thru 8-12" of concrete, why not that stuff???

 

but how do you know what you're drilling through?
