My question is I am thinking of putting a Bi folding door in place of a regular door do I need to do any work on the door frame or will the Bi folding door fit in the frame just like it is.?

You may need to remove the stop (what the old door closed against), but the correct size bi-fold should fit. They are undersized buy about 1/2" to allow clearance as they pivot to close.

Maybe...depends on where you mount it and the thickness of the bifold.
