how hard is it?

building a 12x20' freestanding studio/workshop. old wooden window sashes are pretty easy to come across around here (new orleans). rarely are they framed. my question is how hard is it to frame the windows yourself? seems fairly straightforward to use 1x's for the sides and top but i'm a little less clear on the sill part. can this be a square piece of wood with a bevel cut into it or is it just installed at an angle? can't seem to find any how to's on the web. any ideas? thanks...

You can buy manufactured exterior window sill material that has the pitch already built into it. You would simply have to cut your 1x sides and top and put it together. Go to a real lumber yard, not Home Depot.
