Good Vinyl Replacement Windows?
I am in need of advice as to good vinyl replacement windows. I am considering replacing all windows in my house and this is a big expense for me...so I'm looking to get nudged in the right direction.
I live in Minnesota...so weather can be extreme. I guess I need a composite vinyl that will not succomb to the elements like 100% vinyl. I have had Anderson out since they are local. I have also had two local contractors out that use Soft-Lite and Thermo-Tech windows. Each one I have had out bad mouths the other guys...so it's difficult to weed through the BS.
Is Anderson truly the cream of the crop in everyone's opinion?
Does anyone know much about Soft-Lite. They are based in Ohio and are supposedly growing nationally.
Seems like not many people on here recommend Pella. What about Marvin windows?
I don't plan on staying in my house for much more than 5 years, but I also don't want to stick the next owner with crappy windows. Oh...I also want them to meet the requirements for the tax rebate....so I need a U-factor and SHGC of .30 or less.
Any suggestions from the experts on here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Andersens Renewal windows are a bit pricey, and must be installed by an Andersen installer. Not aware of a vinyl window from Marvin, but their 'Tilt-Pac' replacement sash is a cut above a vinyl window. For a higher end house, they would be my choice. Great Lakes is a regional manufacturer, and I have not heard bad things about them, but never installed them.
