replacement window pane in aluminum frame awning type window

The window glass i want to replace is retained by aluminum inserts. I can remove the inserts, but don't know if replacement inserts (that do the work of holding the window in the frame - without putty or glazing) are available.

Does anyone know if and where i could obtain replacement insert/retention strips for an aluminum framed awning type of window?

Thank you, Steve Marinak

There are dozens of types and sizes of glazing strips... we'd kind of need to have an idea of what yours look like, a picture or drawing of a cross section, along with some measurements in order to locate an exact match. Even then, it would seem to be easier to track down some help locally rather than over the internet.

If you know the manufacturer of the window, their service department can get you the supplies you need. Glass companies are also a good source for this. Taking a piece into them, they should be able to track down the parts needed, since they deal with glass replacement all the time.
