What is RO sill?

I just purchased 14 vinyl window inserts and I am reading the directions prior to installing them. One of the directions is: "Be sure drain holes or 'weeps' are located next to the RO sill." What is a RO sill?

"RO" usually refers to the "rough opening". Replacement windows are installed into existing window frames, I asume they are referring to the existing exterior sill. I have been doing windows for 24 yrs, and do not recall ever seeing a notation like that. I have to assume that they mean, do not install the window backwards??????? The drains holes are supposed to drain to the outside.

Bill is correct. I think they mean weep holes - down - next to the sill (bottom), not up (next to the header). They could say "window sill", not RO. Be safe, G
