Soundproof sliding window
Hi,
Have anyone ever try to build a sound proofing window themself? Not too many manufacturer out there and their price to put one in is rediculously high. Where is a good place to get these laminated glass? Beside laminated glass, slider track, what else do i need. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Sealed multi panel glass units reduce sound somewhat, but none will deaden sound. And if you can reinvent the wheel that does a better job, start a business, there is demand.

Some interesting reading that may offer a direction. Search on "green glue". A night club in our area had to control the band noise from within to keep the neighbors happy and ended up using a triple layer of sheetrock with this material over their existing walls. I'm not sure how well a piece of plexiglass attached with this glue would work, but maybe they could answer a few questions.
