What's wrong with this window? Pics enclosed...

A couple of months ago our living room window started to fog up, barely noticeable at first, but now a few weeks later it can barely be seen through:

At first I thought it was on the inside or the outside and I would be able to wash it off, no such luck - the window seems to be double pane and the fog is in the middle of the panes.

Just wondering what my options are for this one, any help/advice is as always very gratefully received!

You need a new insulated glass unit (IGU). The seal has failed and allowed moisture and contaminates between the panes.

If its less than 10 yrs old (longer in some cases) and you know the manufacturer, it should be under warranty if you are the original owner.

Otherwise any good glass shop can order one made to spec and install it or you can install it yourself. That somewhat depends on the construction. In some cases the glass is not easily replaceable w/o extreme dissassembly and repair.

Thanks!

Guys, thanks very much for the info, really appreciate it. As a point of reference, how much does this usually run?

Thanks again!

Really depends a lot on the size..type of glass..whether you do it or they do it....etc etc

ballpark (since we don't know your location)..$300-500. Parts would prob be $150 or so but labor can kill ya.
