Picture window expansion from heat?

Somewhat related to my 'tint' post.

Thinking of replacing 38X48 double hung with picture window. Non-bedroom, hardly ever open it.
Actually two wdos, side by side.

It is on the west side of house, gets brunt of the hot sun in summer until my tree grows.
Is there much problem with a large vinyl picture window expanding/breaking from being exposed
to the hot sun for several hours?

I have never heard of that happening. Maybe someone else has.

In my experience windows more frequently break in the winter from ice buildup around the glass and from things contracting from the temperature changes. I have never seen one break from being in the sun. If they did, they probably wouldn't sell too many of them. LOL!
