Angry replace single pane with double pane glass using original frame

I saw a house has double pane windows in original single pane frame, how it was done? where we can order these double pane glasses?

They are called replacement windows..or replacement sashes....just do a simple 'net search. Many options out there.

To replace single glazed glass in an original sash is not a simple job. And the benefits are not worth the effort unless you also upgrade all the weatherstripping, and insulate the air spaces around the window frame.

To modify an existing sash, you need to rout out the glass opening to accept a thicker double glaze unit. Even then, the new glass unit will never be comparable to a new sash kit(Marvin/Weathershield) or replacement window.

If there is a concern for historic districts, there are replacements that meet most historic codes.

As Bill says it is not easy to do yourself, but there are companies around that do it. I do not know if they are in your area though.
