Question

Remodeling an apartment that has every door in it kicked in (ie. Door Frames are cracked and split and hinges were completely removed)

Question is, does the entire door frame need to be replaced if the only real damage was done to the side with the hinges on it, and if so should I get a contractor or can a new frame be made relatively easily?

Most all doors now days come with the frame attached. when my customers just want a door, I end up throwing the frame away. As a rule with or without a frame are about the same price. Many times doors only cost more. It is easier to replace the whole unit then to just replace a part of the frame. Less labor. Good Luck
