Replacement windows/retrofit

I just had new replacement windows installed on my stucco house. The installer did not caulk the bottom of the window. This seems ok due to idea of not wanting to trap moisture. One of the windows has a gap on the bottom between 3/8 to 3/4" at places. Looking up in I can see the old window frame. The window is plum. It just seems to be the wall. Can I build this area up with stucco patch or am I worried for nothing. It just seems like this is too much breathing room. Any help appreciated.

I would close the gap, one way or another.
