Milgard Window Glass Replacement

I have a single hung Milgard vinyl window I installed 2 years ago and the stationary glass is cracked. It is Argon filled, the pane(s) are 21" x 27" and all the quotes I have received to replace it are 3-4 times what I paid for the window. Is it feasible to replace it myself? If so is there somewhere to get directions?

How hard would it be to remove the window, bring it to a glass guy & reinstall it?

Should be under warranty, generally under five years also includes labor. Contact installer or Milgard.

Several pieces of siding outside cover the window, taking the window out is not a feasible option and I installed the windows myself, the warranty does not cover accidental breakage/cracking or self installation.

In that case you can try to remove & replace the glass yourself. Just be careful since pieces can shoot across the room.

Milgard may still replace the glass, even if you installed them, just in case you haven't already called them. Stress cracks are pretty common even a few years after install.
