Broken Ball Catch?

This is my first post.

I have a ball catch for a pantry door whereby the ball keeps popping out of the latch. Is this repairable? If not, what's the best way to remove the existing mechanism so I can find a suitable replacement?

I'm finding a lot on the internet about installing a new latch, but not a lot on repairing or removing them.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Should be a simple replacement. Normally a hole is drilled and the catch either press fit in, or if it has a plate there may be some small brads holding it.

The ball catch sleeve may need to be epoxied into the hole if it has boogered the hole out. It won't affect the movement of the ball since the inner sleeve is threaded and moves up and down from above. Just make sure you don't get any epoxy on the threads.
