What is the best lubricant to use on hinges. I have tried wd40 but I get black stuff appearing all down the door and it doesn't last. Any suggestions.

Thanks

Cool

Tap the hinge pin up a bit, and put a few drops of 3-In-1 Oil on your hinges. Wipe off excess, if any drips out.
Good Luck!

WD-40 is not a true lubricant, but rather a solvent. I prefer to use use spray penetrating oil or silicone for lubricating.

WD will keep water out as a short fix.
