Alternatives to Azek for brick moulding?

Hi,
I started replacing some windows (with new constuction) in my house over the weekend. I'm looking into brick mould and it seems like everyone is recommending Azek composite over wood. Fine with me, but wondering if there are alternatives which work just as well for less?

I've heard about Kleer, but haven't looked at pricing yet. Anyone have good experience with alternatives to Azek?

Thanks!

Never used Azek (though lots here recommend it) but I've used plenty of the regular cellular PVC that the Box stores carry (Royal Mouldings is one brand). Works great, but it does expand and contract quite a bit (like vinyl siding). For brickmold, it's best to use pvc pipe cement on the mitered joints to keep them from opening up, though that does prevent them from being replaced individually if damaged.

Ever do any long runs with it? Wondering if the expansion is better/worse/no-diff in the alternatives.

I've got 3 areas where the brickmould being replaced is over 12 feet. The sill is also over 12 feet, so getting into some long lengths as far as expansion goes.

Well, I think they have it in 8 and 10 foot lengths..but the longer might be special order. You'd still have to cut the ends using a scarf joint or butt joint and glue it.

I used 2 8's around my 12' garage door back in VA and cut a 30 degree joint and glued it (before install..so I could get a perfect match) and it never opened up.
