Help replacing roll up screen in aluminum storm door.
I have an Anderson 2000 self-storing screen door. The screen rolls up into the top of the door. I need to replace the screen and to get a new one from the company is about $70.00 I would like to know if anyone has replaced this themselves and how hard it is. I can't seem to find any instructions on the internet.

I have installed a number of those doors, but have never had to replace a screen. Not sure if there is anything different or special about the screen. I would take it apart and see what makes it worth $70. That could be cheap...??

I had a customer who asked me how hard it was to install a storm door. After a thousand or so, I told him, not too bad. Well he called a couple of days later and asked if I would fix his door. He had installed the closer in the top rail
, all the way through the screen roller and screen. Andersen replaced it free of charge. Of course I didn't tell them what the dolt had done, only that it was defective. I had to do "body" work on the two holes he drilled, but it turned out OK.
