need window

Hi - I'm quoting this from the DoItYourself.com home energy saving tips concerning window treatments:
"One type is that which can be sewn yourself or purchased inexpensively in the form of padded, quilt-like shades. With magnetic strips sewn into the sides of the shade, they effectively cling to magnetic strips installed on the window trim to form an airtight seal."
Can anyone guide me to more information on how to make these window quilts? Thanks in advance!

The Jan/Feb 2001 issue of Handy magazine had detailed instructions on how to make these quilted shades using a kit made by The Warm Co. (www.warmcompany.com). The kit comes with both basic and no-sew instructions. Hope this helps.
