repair wooden door frame - storm damage

My full screen storm door blew open during a big wind and was nearly ripped off the door frame. I can replace the storm door, but am unsure what to do about the wooden door frame. Replacing the frame is out of the question. There are two places--top and bottom--where the wood is "ripped" from the screws being raised up from the force of the wind. If anyone has suggestions on how to fix this frame so I can hang another door, please advise.

Can you post a pic so that we can see how bad the damage is?

While we wait on the pix, most storm doors are attached to brick mold that is attached to the door frame. If that is the case, just pull off the brick mold and replace it.

I envisioned the door closer ripping out of the jamb.

I have a very heavy storm door with top and bottom closers. My grandson opened the door in a good wind and it ripped out both closers. Some lazy guy (me) decided that the safety chain wasn't really needed.

cannot paste photo

Sorry the icons to paste from Word are grayed out for me, and I can't figure out how to past in a jpeg photo. Can you tell me how? Or give me an email address to send? I see lots of people including photos.
